APEST and Evangelism

In this message, we explore the gift of evangelism through the lens of Ephesians 4, the APEST framework, and disciple-making movements. Scripture shows us that Christ doesn’t just give gifts to individuals, He gives gifted people to the church so the whole body can grow into maturity and reflect the fullness of Jesus.

Many churches can “do church,” but struggle to effectively make disciples. One major reason? Evangelists are often missing, sidelined, or unactivated.

In this teaching, you’ll learn:
* How evangelists fit into the APEST team (Apostle, Prophet, Evangelist, Shepherd, Teacher)
* Why evangelism is central—not optional—to disciple making
* How to recognize if you may be a gifted evangelist
* What evangelists uniquely contribute to the local church
* Why all believers are witnesses, but some are gifted harvesters
* How stepping out in obedience often reveals gifting you didn’t know you had

You’ll also hear a real, encouraging story of ordinary believers stepping out in faith—and seeing God already at work in the people they met.

The fields are ripe for harvest. We’re all on the farm. We’re all on the team.
But some of you are harvesters.

It may be time to put the combine in gear.
