They’ve repented of their sins. They’re trusting in Jesus. They’re beginning to follow him.

Now what?

When someone responds to the gospel, that is not the finish line. It is the beginning of discipleship. Jesus did not command us merely to make converts. He commanded us to make disciples.

In this episode we look at four simple pillars for following up with a new believer:

Bible. Prayer. Fellowship. Mission.

These four words give you a basic framework for helping a new follower of Jesus get anchored in the faith, begin obeying the Word, learn to pray, connect with other believers, and start living on mission.

We also talk about why baptism matters, where a new believer might begin reading the Bible, how the Lord’s Prayer can help someone learn to pray, why real fellowship is essential, and why mission should be part of discipleship right from the beginning.

If you have a friend who has recently come to faith, or if you want a simple framework for helping others follow Jesus, this will help.
